Since a couple of months, I was thinking about the up gradation of my home that I have bought from the previous house-owner. Actually, I have heard a lot about under cabinet lights from my friends and as I had no clear knowledge on this type of lighting and I was worried about the excessive price tag of that entire lighting design. But my consultant has shown some wonderful designs of lighting and also shown some videos on the techniques of the installation of such lights, and really those are very straightway and easy to install and the most important thing is it costs no extra amount.
I am now using my new stylized kitchen and it is really bright. I am very glad to say, I have decided the right thing for my home. One thing I understood, and that is DIY kitchen does not mean always you will be your own consultant. You must think about your design, but commanding over all techniques and nitty-gritty is not a good solution. A consultant is always a plus-point if you want an overall perfect finish. Now, whenever my friends visit, at first they always talk about the under cabinet lighting in my kitchen. I have used a mix of halogen and LED lights under the cabinets and used dimmers in some of them. I must say it is always giving a dramatic and elegant effect at night over the counter top area. One of my friends has collected the contact number of my consultant and he and his wife also have made the renovation of their kitchen. Now we both are enjoying the lighting of our kitchens. All those we have done without paying thousands of dollars.
Later, I have done some DIY jobs in the other parts of the kitchen and living room. Now I am planning about the external lighting.
